talking detail (Talking)
Talking to people
In the room
say <text> (" or ') - speak aloud; everyone present hears it
pose <action> (:) - emote, e.g. :leans against the railing
Across the city
chat <text> (global) - the global channel, everyone online
fac <text> (fchat) - your faction only
tell <who> <text> - a private message
reply <text> (r) - answer whoever messaged you last
who (online) - who is currently connected
To NPCs
talk <npc> (ask, greet) - open with a greeting
topics [<npc>] (convo) - what they'll talk about
ask <npc> about <topic> - pull a specific thread
Most people will talk if you give them a reason to. talk opens the
conversation; topics lists the threads you can pull, and each answer
points at more. Some things they'll only give up if you press them — a
Persuasion or Intimidation check — and how they treat you shifts as you
talk. Named characters hold richer conversations and remember them across
sessions. Ask a fixer ask <fixer> about work for a contract, and
ask <fixer> about delivery when you have finished one. See help work.
